"They say your parents know better...

Dante Morris knew exactly what had to be done. Despite having a voice that insisted on cracking whenever he said things out loud, he was expected to become a great and repected lawyer just as all the members of the Morris family before him.

However, after an unexpected accident took his parents' lives, Dankte moves to Halley to live with his aunt Sarah, who is broken in her own way. Now, he will have to find a path of his own and discover that falling in love is not as easy as following a recipe.

Would you dare to embark on a journey in which dogs smile, people hurt, and hearts break to learn that some stars don't die?" (by @authorivyoakes)

Opinion:

First of all, I want to thank one of the nicest authors in the world again for providing me with this beautiful review copy of the first book of her stand alone series.

Again, the beautiful cover is totally outstanding. It pictures Dante Morris, who is the main protagonist in this book. I have to say that I totally fell in love with this cover too.

Now I want to say something about the story. This time the reader accompanies Dante Morris, the nephew of Sarah, who we got to know in the first booklet. His story is also quite sad because it begins with the death of his parents. I actually cried throughout the whole book several times because it is such an emotional story again. It is all about fighting, friendship, family and love. Dan and his aunt Sarah complete each other so perfectly and both of them are loveable in their own way.

Speaking of the protagonists, I need to say that they are again described in great detail. I would have never thought about books with such a little number of pages that protagonists can have such a depth. I had all of them in my head while reading and I could even picture them doing everthing they did in the book. I'm totally impressed how much effort and love the author puts into her work. She showed us how Dante went through all the stages of grief and did also a lot of research on astronomy. I can't wait till the next story is going to be available!

What has to be mentioned again is that this the first book of the Halley's puzzle. Each book is stand-alone, but it is recommended to read it in the right order to totally understand and fully enjoy it.

Conclusion:

I would again highly recommend the first novelette, if you haven't read it yet, but also this book. If you are a fan of unusual and totally sweet love stories, you definitely have to read the books by Ivy Oakes!
